Easy A analysis
Setting and Mise En Scene-
The
setting of this shot shows that the main character is in a high school with everyone around her staring
at her. This is a typical setting to see in a teen angst themed film as most
teenagers are still at high school/college. The Mise En Scene is shown through
the clothing that the main character is wearing, we can see from the shot that
she is in all black, this image shows her out to be a countertype and also a
stereotype, she is shown as a stereotype because she is wearing a small tyop
that reveals a lot of skin and seems to have her hair done. She is shown as a
countertype because her clothing is dark and she is wearing a black top,
usually girls are seen wearing light colours tops to connote their innocence.
Camerawork-
This
image shows a medium shot of the main character in focus looking like she is
upset, we ccan see this from the look on her face as she looks down in dispair
with her mouth open a little bit which looks like she is shocked with whats
happening in the surroundings. In the background, we can see that there is a
group of people in a school holding up signs that are offensive towards the
main character which is why she is upset.
Characters-
This
image shows a long/medium shot of the main character walking through a crowd of teenagers in the school
hallways. She looks as though she loves herself in the way that she is looking
straight ahead of her with her shoulders back, looking like a typical girl who
thinks she owns the school. Some of the characters in the background staring at
her are male which is stereotypical of a boy to be staring at a popular girl.
