Setting and Mise-En-Scene

This image shows the main setting of the film which is a school, it looks like a very big school and as though one that is treated well by respectful students. The other setting is the main character's house, Poppy. The two setting and mise-en-scene are very different as the first setting is more dull and the students are all in the same uniform. Whereas in the second setting, the characters are wearing bikinis in a pool, the lighting is much more brighter to reflect the moods that the teenagers are feeling as it shows that they are happy and enjoying themselves.

Camerawork

This image shows a close up of the main character Poppy, looking upset. It looks as though her hair and clothes are wet and like she is holding up her wet shoes. We can tell that she is upset by the look on her face, she is frowning with the bottom lip risen. She seems to upset that her shoes may be ruined, this is typical of a teenage girl as they care a lot about their appearance and clothes/shoes.

Characters

The main character on the film is the one standing on the far left, compared to all of the other characters, she seems to be a bit more different and full of more energy. We can see this by the way that she is standing, she is leaning to one side with one hand on her hip and the other one in a pose which shows to us that she cares about the way that she looks. All of the other girls also have their skirts either knee length or below and are all more or less standing straight. Whereas poppy, has her skirt pulled him to her waist so that it is very short.
